Most of all, this book is just really, really fun. I also loved the narrative structure driven by photographic vignettes – Artie's search for the truth about her father was really compelling and I loved learning more about her parents' story. Olivia Stephens is one of my favorite storytellers – the pacing of her comics in combination with her acting and paneling make her characters feel incredibly real, and she builds out entire worlds quickly and skillfully.
